Project Profile

Buddhist Tzu Chi Merit Society

The Buddhist Tzu Chi Merit Society Building is an imposing structure on MacAlister Road. It houses the administrative office and facilities that include conference halls, prayer temples, library and others.

The architecture of the building is conceptually typical of a Chinese temple building and similar to all the Society’s buildings worldwide.

The concrete finishes of the entire building were installed in Pebb-Tech, Bomanite proprietary exposed aggregate system and the installations included Tzu Chi logos, high walls, columns, footings, window casements, banisters, stairs, concrete feature lanterns and perimeter fence. The pebbles used were the specific and thematic choices stipulated by the Society for all their buildings.

The Bomanite crew delivered an admirable feat of hazardous and difficult vertical plastering and installations to create a landmark building.
