ARMENIAN PARK

Georgetown, Penang Client : Penang City Council

Penang City Council in collaboration with Aga Khan Trust for Culture and Think City, a special project vehicle established by Khazanah Nasional Bhd, an investment holding arm of the Government of Malaysia.

In an effort to promote planning, conservation and urban revitalization in historic cities.  To restore and rehabilitate historic structures and public spaces in ways that can spur social, economic and cultural development.

Walkways in the park itself were finished with Sandscape in a beautiful Sand colour accented with 6” borders on both sides of the walkway.  Walkways or Side walk by the road were finished also with Sandscape but in a gray colour with precision saw cut lines and ramps for the handicapped.

Road kerbs were cast-in-place using grade 25 concrete using formwork and special kerb tools. Basket Ball Court was a full size court and we were challenged to cast the court with only one expansion joint in the middle meaning the basket ball court cast in two panels only.
